Genko, Inc. is a healthcare scheduling software company headquartered in South San Francisco, California. We build practice management tools so clinics spend less time on administrative overhead and more time with patients.
Where this started
Genko grew out of the US–Mexico healthcare corridor — the region connecting San Diego and Tijuana where patients routinely cross an international border for care, and practices deal with a more complex mix of regulations, languages, and patient expectations than almost anywhere else.
The scheduling tools available at the time were either overbuilt enterprise systems that required months to configure, or consumer apps that ignored HIPAA entirely. Neither fit. We built Genko to be the platform we kept wishing existed: HIPAA-aligned infrastructure, proper multi-tenancy, and a patient portal that actually works on a phone.
Today, Genko serves practices across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Our team is small and intentionally so — we build carefully rather than fast, and we don't ship features we can't stand behind.
What Genkō does
Genkō is a multi-tenant practice scheduling platform. Healthcare organizations use it to manage providers, patients, and appointment workflows — from initial booking through reminders and follow-ups. Patients get a self-service portal for booking and managing their own care without calling the front desk.
For practices that want deeper integration, Genkō exposes a fully documented API and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so AI assistants and EHR systems can interact with scheduling data directly. This is a real feature, not a roadmap item.
Billing is handled by Stripe. Email by Resend. Calendar sync by Google. Every infrastructure choice is made with HIPAA-covered entities in mind, and Business Associate Agreements are available on all paid plans.
