How does the free plan work?
The free plan gives you full access to core scheduling, the patient portal, and role-based access for up to 100 patients and 3 staff members. No credit card required and no time limit — it's free for as long as you need it.
Can I manage multiple clinics from one account?
Yes. Genkō is built for multi-location practices. You can create or join multiple clinic organizations from a single account, and each clinic maintains fully separate patients, providers, and settings.
How does conflict detection work?
Each provider has a configurable weekly availability schedule. When a new appointment is booked, Genkō checks for overlaps with that provider's existing appointments in real time. If a conflict exists, the booking is rejected immediately — no double-bookings can slip through.
Can patients view or manage their own appointments?
Yes. Every clinic gets a dedicated patient portal. Patients can log in to see their upcoming and past appointments, update their contact information, and review provider details — without calling the front desk.
Is my patient data secure?
All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with row-level security (RLS) — meaning database queries are enforced at the row level so one clinic can never see another's data. Authentication uses Supabase Auth with JWT tokens. We follow industry best practices and encourage clinics to review their local compliance requirements.
What payment methods do you accept?
Genkō uses Stripe for billing, which supports all major credit and debit cards. Subscription management, upgrades, and cancellations are handled through a self-service Stripe portal accessible from your dashboard.
Can I import my existing patient records?
Bulk patient import is on our roadmap. For now, patients can be added individually through the dashboard or can self-register through the patient portal. Contact us if you need help migrating a large dataset.
How do I upgrade or cancel my subscription?
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing inside your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately, and you'll retain access through the end of your current billing period on cancellation.
